- Dragon Boat TripTo Thien Mu Pagoda: There are numerous legends associated with Thien Mu Pagoda that are also known as Linh Mu Pagoda. It is said that Locals used to see an elderly woman dressed in red emerge on top of the hill every night. She predicted that the Lord would pass by one day and construct something significant. Thien Mu Son became the name of the peak after that it means Mountain of Lady from Heaven.
Lord Nguyen Hoang passed by the hill and came to know about the tale of the lady from heaven, he constructed a pagoda called Thein Mu. After many events, damages, and restorations, the pagoda still stands today and serves as the unofficial symbol of the old city of Hue. There is a beautiful octagonal tower, 3 door gate, 12 huge wooden sculptures, a palace, a sanctuary, and many more.
The private Tour of Hue city will begin with a walk to Thien Mu (Heaven Lady) pagoda, built in 1601 by Nguyen Lord. This wonderful structure overlooks the Perfume River. Perfume River: The Perfume River flows from two sources the Truong Son Mountain region and the Bang Lang Fork. The left tributary or Ta Trach begins northwest from the Truong Dong highlands to the Bang Lang Fork. The right tributary or Huu Trach flows through the Tuan ferry towards the Bang Lang Fork. The river then runs from south to north, past the shrines of Hon Chen and Ngoc Tran before turning north to the west and winding through the Nguyet Bieu and Luong Quan plains. The River then flows constantly northeast to Hue, only an echo of Truong Son Mountain, and past the resting site of the Nguyen Emperors.
The Hue Citadel Story : After leaving the Thien Mu Pagoda, the tour of the incredible 19th-century Citadel of Hue begins, which encircles various ancient monuments such as the original Imperial City and the Purple Forbidden Palace.
