Upon arrival at Bangkok Airport, meet your local guide and driver for a comfortable transfer to your hotel. After check-in, the remainder of the day is free to rest after your journey or begin exploring Thailand’s vibrant capital at your own pace. Overnight in Bangkok.
After breakfast, visit the Grand Palace, the ceremonial heart of Thailand’s royal family, and Wat Phra Kaew, home to the revered Emerald Buddha. Continue to Wat Pho to see the magnificent Reclining Buddha, followed by Wat Traimit and its celebrated Golden Buddha. In the afternoon, board a traditional long-tail boat and cruise along the Chao Phraya River and Bangkok’s lively canals, observing local life along the waterways. Stop at Wat Arun before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Bangkok.
Depart early for Maeklong Railway Market, where vendors swiftly move their stalls when the train passes through the centre of the market. Continue to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and travel by motorboat through the waterways to its colourful trading area. Lunch is at your own arrangement. In the afternoon, return to Bangkok and visit the Jim Thompson House, a remarkable collection of traditional Thai teak homes, Southeast Asian art and the story of the American entrepreneur who introduced Thai silk to the international fashion world.
