Day-by-day journey
Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, meet your local representative and transfer to the hotel. After check-in, enjoy free time to relax or take a leisurely stroll through the city. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
After breakfast, explore Chiang Mai’s historic Old Town on foot, passing the ancient city wall, moat and old gateway. Visit Wat Phra Singh, Wat Phan Tao and Wat Chedi Luang, then continue through lanes lined with traditional houses and enjoy a rickshaw ride. Walk through Warorot Market before travelling to Doi Suthep in the afternoon to visit its revered hilltop temple. The evening is free to explore the Night Market. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Between 08:00 and 08:30, join the sanctuary transfer and travel through the countryside south of Chiang Mai. After a short jungle walk, change into traditional Karen clothing and learn about elephant anatomy, history and behaviour. Meet and feed the elephants, observe them in a natural setting and enjoy a Thai lunch with fresh fruit. In the afternoon, prepare herbal medicine balls, walk with the elephants to the river, help bathe and brush them, and join their mud-spa routine. Return to Chiang Mai at approximately 17:00–17:30. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Travel to Thailand’s highest mountain for a guided trek through lush forest, farmland, coffee plantations and rice terraces. Visit a Karen village, enjoy locally grown coffee, see Vachiratharn Waterfall and admire the twin royal pagodas before returning to Chiang Mai.
After breakfast, enjoy free time until your transfer to Chiang Mai Airport for the onward journey. End of services.
